Lin Qun | Chinese Artist Collection
Male, born in April 1972 in Gutian, Fujian Province, Lin Qun is a professional painter currently residing in Xiamen City, Fujian Province. He is a member of the International Calligraphy and Painting Art Association, the Fujian Oil Painting Society, and the Haicang Art Association of Xiamen, as well as a director of the Xiamen Oil Painting Industry Association. Additionally, he serves as a member of the New Literary and Art Circles Committee and the Flower-and-Bird Painting Committee of the Fujian Artists Association, and Vice Chairman of the Artists Association of Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone.
Lin Qun has been engaged in oil painting creation since 1996. In 2009, his work Eight Steeds for Blessing was exhibited at the New Artists and New Works Exhibition of the East China Sea Wave in Fujian and collected by the Yunnan Calligraphy and Painting Museum. In 2010, he won the Silver Award at the Singapore Chinese Art Exquisite Works Exhibition, and his works were selected for the Chinese periodical Oriental Art Forest in 2011. From 2010 to 2014, he participated in various art exhibitions including the Shanghai International Art Fair and the Hangzhou West Lake Expo. In 2017, his oil painting Steed was selected for the Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition of "Celebrating the National Day and Welcoming the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China" hosted by the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Haicang District Committee. He began creating the animal series in 2019 and 2020.
In 2021, he participated in the public welfare classroom activity Our Chinese Dream – Culture Enters Thousands of Homes organized by the Fujian Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and created the oil painting Cunchang Village, Shuikou Town. In the same year, he took part in the sketching and creation activity Rural Revitalization, Beautiful Nanling in Nanling Town, Fuqing City, and his works were exhibited in the Fuzhou Lianjiang New Color Ink Painting Innovation Joint Exhibition together with local Fujian painters.
In 2022, his Chinese paintings such as Scenery of Nanling and At the Foot of Damu Mountain were featured in the online exhibition of sketching and creation works for the activity Rural Revitalization, Beautiful Nanling. From March 20th to 25th of the same year, he participated in the Fujian-Xinjiang Art Exchange Activity Silk Road, Common Origin; Mountains and Seas, Symphonic Harmony, and conducted sketching and creation in Pingtan, Fujian.
